Travel for two hours northeast of Luang Namtha and you will run into the small hiking center, Muang Sing, a town seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Its popularity grew due to its majestic setting, laid back ambiance and the seclusion it offers.
Muang Sing is a beautiful town with wood-built homes, several of which follow a traditional Lao-Thai design. Cycling and walking are the activities frequently done in town; as you’ll soon discover when you take the dirt roads out of town towards the mountains.
